products I'm lusting for - 19th birthday

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY SOON!
Well.. in nearly 6 weeks.. surely that qualifies as soon? I've made a bit of a wishlist as my family and boyfriend probably find it ridiculously hard to buy me things as I'm SO fussy it's stupid.

I'm moving out in September and would love this beautiful Diptyque Candle to make my room a little bit more homey! Plus, they're ridiculously expensive and I'd probably never be able to afford it otherwise..
Another thing I've thrown myself all over is this Petite Palette from Laura Mercier. At only £10 from Space.NK (NO ONE BUY IT, I WANT TO MAKE SURE I GET IT!) it's an absolute bargain and those colours would make a perfect smokey eye.

An Origins product I've loved but never repurchased is the Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. It's not something I need, but something I really, really want and I think that's a justified reason for me asking for it, right?
I NEEEED to change my bronzer. I hate mine and this one is just perfect for contouring. I've heard nothing but good things about it and I'd love to see if it lives up to the hype. I don't know why I've never bought it myself, but the Jouer Hydrating Bronzer is close to the top of my list.

Another product I'm desperate for is this Orla Keily Notepad which will be just perfect for University! I can't decide whether I'd use it for Uni or Blogging but I'm sure I'll find a perfect use for this gem.
Finally, Molecule 01 Perfume. It was at the top of my Christmas list and is now the top of my "Dying For" list. I've never tried it before, but I waaaaannntttt!

ready for spring #3 - Plushest Punch and BB creams

Since I started blogging in October, I pretty much threw away any make up that seemed to be pretty crappy and any new make up I bought was very Autumn/Winter based - dark lips, kind of medium to heavy coverage foundation etc. It's about time I thought about buying more Spring/Summer directed items.

I've chosen the DrJart+ Regenerating BB Cream for four reasons; it's a lighter coverage to any foundation I have, it will adapt my any changes in my skin colour (not that I tan anyway!), it has SPF 30 which is incredible and this formula will be perfect for my skin type. There are four different BB creams aimed at all skin types - this one will be perfect for me as it's hydrating yet will combat any redness or blemish I have whilst still brightening the skin.

I've not reached for this once in around 6 months as I've loved the dewy skin look, however I think I'll be getting some use out of the cult product Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder this summer. I've only used a dusting of my MUA Pressed Powder lately to make my make up to stay put, but through Summer the heat may mean a bit more movement in my base products, so I think I'll be buying this just to give my products a little more longevity and control any oils.
I love the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara, it's amazing at separating, lengthening and giving volume to my lashes, but it's time to go waterproof, for obvious reasons!

Being a bit of a ghost girl, I do need to add warmth and contour to my face, and I really need to buy a new bronzer. This Jouer Replenish and Protect Hydrating Bronzer Powder is a gorgeous shade and to make it even better, it's hydrating with an SPF of 39 (39, seriously?) This would look perfect with a little coral blush on the apples of the cheeks!

Blue liner looks like it will be making a come through in Spring/Summer and I think this Eyeliner Cake in Danger by Illamasqua will be perfect. With it being a powder, you could maybe use it in your crease or when doing a smoky eye, but the main thing you can do is mix with a bit of water or Sealing Gel and use this as an eyeliner with an angled eyeliner brush. I think it'd look amazing!

Finally, everyone knows my love for my this product, but I feel the colour I own now will be too dark for everyday. This Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Plushest Punch will be light enough for a day time look but still add an opaque, hydrating coverage.

selfridges base beauty wishlist

Hey guys! So, I'm having a bit of a mare lately. I'm desperately looking for new make up. From my What's DEFINITELY Worth the Hype and What's NOT Worth the Hype posts, I know I'm looking for blusher, bronzer and foundation because these are items I'm never completely satisfied with. The only problem is, I don't have any particular products or companies in mind for what I'd like, so everything's all up in the air. I'm off to London in April so I'm compiling a bit of a wishlist of things to check out and maybe purchase whilst I'm down there!

I spent ages looking through Selfridges website, and this is the only foundation that has really appealed to me, Clinique Superbalanced Makeup. I have verrryy combination skin and love balancing skin care, so this seemed pretty appropriate. They also look to have quite a good range of colours, so it'll be one to check out.

Blush was really quite difficult too, but after picking hundreds of shades I ALWAYS wear, I've picked these two shades that I've never really tried, especially the pink Bobbi Brown blush. I'll be honest, I've no idea how it will look on me, so I'll definitely have to try before I buy! The other blush is by Stila and it's the Custom Colour Blush in shade Bronze. This is a little closer to shades I usually wear, except more pink than red and I think it could look really pretty! Going to seriously look into this one!

When looking for bronzers, I saw this bad boy from Laura Mercier called the Bronzing Duo in Coral Bronze. At £26 this is so, so expensive but those two shades are just beautiful! Maybe I wouldn't have to buy a new blush either...

Finally, one I could pick up on the high street, but I'd completely forgotten about until I came across it, the Bourjois Bronzing Powder. I could hardly see the colour choices on the website, but I remember watching a lot of bloggers raving about this product so I might just have to do a few swatches and see what I think!

So I'm not too sure if I'm 100% satisfied with everything I've chosen. If you have any favourites, pleaaase let me know, I'm stuck in such a rut!

beauty wishlist

So Christmas and New Year have passed, it's my sisters 21st in a couple of weeks, and I'm left money-less and wanting more things than ever. Typical. So now I'm sat here with the face on compiling a list of my most wanted beauty products right now!

1. Benefit High Beam Highlighter
I am a complete highlighter virgin. I've never used one and since this is a product so many people rave about, I'm really wanting to try it out and see what kind of difference it makes to my face.
I looked at the different ones they had such as Sun Beam, but I think this one would be so much more suited to my skin, but like I said, I've noooo idea!

2. Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder
I don't think I need to say anything about this product. If you've not heard of it, I'll assume you've been living under a rock! Contouring my face is an everyday thing for me, but my bronzer at the moment is just too shimmery. This is perfect - apart from the price! But I've been told it lasts a verrrry long time. Worth it?

3. Clinique Chubby Stick Intense
I'm SO desperate for this. I've seen people say that Revlon is a good dupe, but lately I've had the mentality that rather than spending a little money on a lot of products, spend a lot on a little. I definitely think spending more pays off and I've got my heart set on this. For £16, I don't think it's too expensive. The shade I'd love to try is 06 Roomiest Rose. I think it's a lovely shade, not too in your face and I think it would look quite natural. I want this so baaaaad :(

4. Kate Spade Supercalifragilipstick
I've noticed this in the Space NK sale for just £10! Unfortunately, it's out of stock in the shade that I am absolutely loving. It's called Popart Pink and is a lovely coral-pink shade. I don't have a colour like it in my make up case and I would love to pop this cute bullet in there.

5. Escentric Molecules - Molecule 01
This was at the top of my Christmas list, with many asterisks next to it and unfortunately I didn't get it. Super sad. Alas, it remains on my wishlist, the beauty secret, Molecule 01 and I'm still to try it. I would love to see whether the reactions I've read happen to me!

make up wishlist

Spoiling you lucky people with two posts today! I tried to keep it to just make up, but of course I HAD to sneak in a couple of skincare products that I'm just dying to have. Hope you're liking my blogs new-ish look, too!

1. YSL Touche Eclat foundation
Eeeeveryone is going on about this foundation, and I just need it! At £28, it's pretty expensive, but by the sound of it, it's well worth it.

2. Bioderma
Where can I buy this in the UK?! Or do I have to order it online? I've seen a few people say this is their must have skincare product, and of course I want to jump on the bandwagon..

3. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
I've never really used concealer before, it's just never been a thing I've bought (I don't know why, I'm in desperate need for it!) but I think it's about time I bought one. This one is affordable and I've seen some of the most well known bloggers hype about this so it seems like my best bet!

4. DrJart+ Platinum Beauty Balm Cream
This one is supposed to be for more mature women, but I hear people get the best results from this product? It's pretty pricey, so I'll probably only buy it if I come into some money, but I've never used a BB cream before and apparently DrJart+ is some of the best out there. It'll be a long time till I find out!

5. Rimmel BB Cream 9 in 1
So 9 in 1 seems pretty ambitious, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the BB cream above. I think this will be the next skincare product I buy, I've not heard too much about it though so if anyone uses it, let me know!

6. Origins Super Spot Remover Blemish Treatment Gel
Yet another that is well out of my price range, but it seems like EXACTLY what I need!!! Origins have a very good reputation which is making me more and more eager to spend my money on it. If anyone knows of any similar products, do let me know, absolutely desperate!

lianne la havas - music marvel

Hello beauties! I wanted to wait until after I purchased/received Lianne's album to write a review/confess my love for the lady. She has an incredibly soulful voice which is generally the main focus of her music with a catchy beat to accompany her, giving her music a raw, hip-hop style to an extent. Her song-writing abilities are second to none, sophisticated semantics give her lyrics a classic, 'vintage' air to the song which is incredibly unlike more mainstream music you're currently likely to come across.
Her vocal range is brilliant and she's wise in how to show it off. She doesn't try to fit too many notes into one section, she carefully distributes her range throughout the entire piece making it very easy to listen too.
Not only are her music abilities top class, she looks amazing. Often wearing an up-do for her inherited curly locks, she pairs subtle make up with classy dresses that accentuates all of her best features.

Listen to her music most recent single here (reminds me a LOT of Sugartown - Nancy Sinatra through the verses, no?).
I hope so much that you guys take notice, give her some support and love her as much as I do, her album has been at the top of my Christmas list for a long time!

Keep your eyes peeled! Had another bit of a make-up/skincare haul today (very naughty of me considering I should be saving..). Find out about my beauty bargain here in the next couple of days!

my wishlist #1

After getting Golden Delicious last Christmas, I fell in love with the DKNY fragrances. I really want to try this, surely a higher concentrated perfume is going to last longer?

Literally just purchased these and I want to cry with happiness! They're absolutely gorgeous. I'm not too sure what to wear them with yet, so any suggestions would be so appreciated!

I think I'm starting to like these now that the 'craze' is coming to an end. I don't think it'd suit me, but hey, it's a wishlist, right?

So, so expensive for a nail varnish, but tat colour is so gorgeous! If you know where I can get this kind of shade but a cheaper version, I'd so appreciate it.

These are officially on my Christmas list. I love the heel on them, I think if it was just a normal straight heel, I probably wouldn't be as attracted as I am. Love these though, hope I get them!

If you do wishlists, leave me a link in my comments, I'd love to check them out and get some ideas for myself!
