THE HIATUS HAUL

Yep, I've been buying again! The sad thing? This isn't even all of it. Add on a Clinique Cleansing Balm, Clarins makeup, Stella McCartney perfume, many new candles and a hell of a lot more, and you'll be close to the job lot!

So I've accumulated this bunch since I moved out and absolutely loving it all. My favourites have been the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation which has turned into one of my favourite foundations in my collection. The Leighton Denny top coat is absolutely incredible, but more about that soon...

I recently bought some Crown brushes, however on the first time of using them, they were shedding! So as soon as I sent them back, I went to my trusty Real Techniques and bought the Eye Brushes, a Shading Brush and a Powder brush. Luck obviously wasn't on my side when it came to brushes as annoyingly my powder brush started shedding. I was told to inform them, and the lovely people sent me a new brush AND a Kabuki Brush for free - lovely, lovely people!

How beautiful is the YSL Lipstick? I just couldn't resist a new red shade for the Christmas season. I prefer matte lipsticks to anything glossy, but this stands somewhere in between with a slight glossy/satin finish, but it can easily be patted down for a more natural effect.

So here's just a snapshot of what I've been buying! I have two London trips coming up soon, so I can't promise that I'm gonna be good... Thank God for Student Finance!

THE MAMMOTH HAUL

So in my time away from the blog, I've been spending money - booooo. I'm now taking a much needed spending ban until I move to uni, I think! But I've been down to London and I couldn't resist picking a couple of things up.

The main things on my list were another bottle of Bioderma - standard - and I really wanted a new foundation. I popped into Selfridges where the most wonderful guy called Buddy on the Nars counter matched me up to a perfect shade of the Sheer Glow foundation. I've used this a few times since getting it and ooooooh lord, how have I lived without this?! Absolutely amazing!
I had a couple more things on my list like a new highlighter, I tried the MAC ones and I just really don't like them! I had my heart set on getting theBALM Mary Luminizer but of course &Other Stories were aaaall out, so I came away empty handed. I nipped into the Lush in Covent Garden when meeting someone and had to pick up another tub of Ultrabland.

I'd been after a gradual self-tanning product for a while and the most obvious seemed to be the Palmers one. Unpopular statement here, but I HATE the smell, absolutely vile! Otherwise, it's a great foolproof lotion. Origins GinZing moisturiser has been on my list since it was released, then when I saw it in my local Boots (which doesn't have Origins!) I felt it was fate and I needed to pick it up. More on that in my next post!

I saw that YSL, Lancome and Giorgio Armani fragrances had an amazing offer on lately - if you spend £50 on at least two products there was a brilliant gift with purchase consisting of the Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover, the YSL Baby Doll mascara, Armani Code, Lancome Hydra-Calm moisturiser, a Lancome lipstick and the YSL Youth Liberator serum (which my mum stole before I even bought it!). There's been two YSL products on my list for a loooong time now, and that the Touche Eclat foundation and the Sheer Candy lipstick in shade 6, so when I saw you could get the foundation and a cream blush in a set for £29 it seemed ridiculous not to get it! No?

I've been wanting to try some more mascaras lately, and the high street wins every time for me, so I was eager to try the Falsies mascara and a recent release, The Rocket Volume Express. For now, I'm absolutely loving these! I picked up another Colour Tattoo as well as these have been amazing in this heat!

Yes, yes, I now have over 60 nail varnishes, but a girl can never have too many! I couldn't resist picking up more of the Gelly Shine ones and the Maybelline Colour Show ones are fast becoming a favourite of mine. The Butter London polish and Nails Inc one I managed to get through Boots/Debenhams sales for only £3 and £5!

After getting some money through, I wanted to buy myself something really special to remember my late Nan by, and as she always bought me perfumes for Christmas, I thought this was the perfect thing.... and in went Diptyque Philosykos to my basket. This has specially been reserved for special occasions though!

Christ, what a massive haul! Add four pairs of shoes into the mix too, I really went crazy... The sad thing is, I know there are more things but I just can't find them. I also have one more product on the way, yep you guessed, theBALM Mary Luminizer will be mine!

BEAUTY HAUL

So, it's been a while huh?! If you check out my last post, you'll see why, but I've been so eager to get back into blogging that I thought I'd show you a mini beauty haul, just some things I've picked up over the past couple of weeks. So, without further ado...

Getting my nail varnish to stay put is a task I'm constantly battling with and after seeing Seche Vite in a blog sale I picked it up instantly. I've used it a few times and to be honest, I'm not blown away.. My nail varnish rarely chips anymore, instead it all peels off. It does give amaaaazing shine though and sets very well and quickly!
I didn't really know whether to feature the Ciate Manicure Nails in this post or not, but what the hell. The mushroom shade, Shooting Star is BEAUTIFUL and the caviar pearls in Cookies and Cream are really nice! Quite excited to give it a go.

From MAC I got one of the paint pots in Ground Work, quite a muddy brown shade that looks really beautiful on the lid. It's really effortless, blends perfectly and sets for the day without creasing, big thumbs up from me! Another cream shadow to enter my collection is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the infamous On and On Bronze. Lord knows why it's taken me so long to pick it up, but I LOVE it. Really quick and easy to use and looks like you've put a lot more effort into your makeup than you really have - always a plus for me!

The last two products dropped through my postbox just this morning and they're the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, a Caroline Hirons and Gh0stparties influenced buy that I KNOW I'm going to love. Finally the most beautiful item in my collection, the Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in Miami Pink. Seriously, how beautiful is this?! I cannot waaaait to give it a go.

I'm still getting my blogging mojo back into swing, but I thiiiink I'm back for good! What are your favourite products? Have you had a cheeky spend?

what I got for my birthday!

Right let's start off this whole charade by just stating that I'm really not bragging about anything I've received! When I ask you guys what you love to read, a lot of you say haul posts, so here you are! Another thing is, I have a veeeery lovely boyfriend which spoils me rotten, just like his family.

So now that's out in the open, it was my birthday on Saturday! May the fourth be with you.. I'm really lucky to have received pretty much everything that was on my list and have some spending money for Manchester/#SheffieldMeetUp which is nice!

My absolute favourite gifts are my beloved Laura Mercier Primer in Radiance and the Bronzing Duo in Coral Bronze (I think..!) and of course, something I've wanted for longer than I can imagine, Molecule 01! I was SO excited when I opened this bad boy up and had a cheeky spritz, my mum fell in love.

Before going to London, Mike gave me some money to get something for myself for my birthday, so I picked up my first ever MAC lipstick. The shade is Rebel and I think the love affair has officially begun.
Me and Mike are also going to Manchester in a few days to go and see one of his favourite bands. I cheekily said that I'll go as long as he buys me something from Selfridges, alas, what popped through my letterbox on Saturday but a Selfridges Gift Card, with a note saying "I told you I'd buy you something from Selfridges!". Such a baaaabe.

My sister has always been saying to me "Hayley start a YouTube, my friend does it, he loves it!" and my response has been "But I have no camera!!!". I now have NO excuse after she got me a webcam with microphone, so perhaps you'll be seeing more of me, who knows.

So here's a little glance at my presents! I've gone a little OTT lately on the spending front with London first, I have Manchester on the 14th and then the #SheffieldMeetUp on the 18th so I think once this influx of money and opportunities dies down I'll be well up for a spending ban and saving for University!

Do you want any of these products? Or have you had a cheeky haul lately? Tell me all about it! :)

a lovely make up haul!

Hello beautiful people! I felt that after winning my two awards and getting over 1000 page views, I deserved a treat. Here's what I bought:

No7 Creme Touch Face Powder in Translucent - £8.50
Rimmel Professional Eye Brow Pencil in Dark Brown - £2.99
MUA Pressed Powder in Shade 2 - £1
MUA Blusher in Shade 3 - £1
MUA Lipstick in Shade 11 - £1
MUA Nail Varnish in Shade 13 - £1

I don't think I did bad at all! What do you guys think?
I've had and loved the No7 powder before, it's one of the best I've used, it gives such good coverage and is a gorgeous shade. I'm so excited to try out my new foundation though! I don't think it's a bad price at all, I expected it to be much higher so I can't wait. If any of you guys have tried it before, let me know what you think.
Of course I had to go and get more MUA bargains. At that price you really can't go wrong. I love the lipstick! It's such a natural colour, it looks glossy, but not high shine, it's moisturizing and is a babe to reapply! I'm not sure why I bought another powder, I think for the price I thought it was worth giving it a go, along with the blusher, I never usually wear it, but maybe this will convert me.
I've been looking for a deep emerald colour varnish for SO long, I just can't find a reasonably priced one anywhere. I saw this and thought it was okay, not exactly what I'm looking for, but I'll give it a try. If not, the shade will definitely fit the winter seasons!

What have you bought recently? Have you tried anything I recently bought? Let me know what you think!
